The Tragic Tale of Future Utah Governor Malcom T. Henry / Create Your Own Choose Your Own Adventure!
The main purpose of this post is self-advertisement, but I have also come bearing a tribute of a story I wrote. Story first: ( The Tragic Tale of Future Utah Governor Malcom T. Henry )[This was from a series of short stories I wrote in November for NaNoWriMo when it became clear I couldn't stick with a single novel the whole time. There are more on my LJ.] Now for the self-advertisement: I have just launched a new site, www.cyocyoa.com, which lets you build your own online Choose Your Own Adventures to share with the world (or just with friends). I am working on it every day adding new features, and the more folks I have using it and making suggestions, the better. This crowd is obviously predisposed toward creative writing, so you'd also presumably make the population of available adventures more high-quality. Thanks for your time! |

Can't Rain All the Time
First chapter of a new original-ish story. :) Title: Can't Rain All the Time Rating: NC-17 Pairing: All OCs, possible future OC/Reno(FF7) Summary: Despite growing up in the slums, Jack had a pretty good life. He had a big brother to take care of him, people falling at his feet to be with him, and a lucrative job that actually paid, even if it was a traditionally bottom-of-the-rung class profession. He thought he knew hardship, but he's about to learn the real meaning of the word "slums." Warnings: Sex (m/f, m/m), prostitution, death, violence, angst A/N: This is the life story of Jack Harper, the main character in "Red". He's technically a fan character, which technically makes this fanfiction, but none of the characters will be actual FF7 characters, at least for the first part. I haven't quite decided where this will stop, but for now let's assume Reno will come into play at least in the very end of the story, if not more often. Also, for some villainous purposes, Don Corneo will be making a cameo here and there. And, those of you familiar with The Crow should recognize the title. ;) ( Can't Rain All the Time ) |

Type: Incomplete Sumary: It all started out in London 1810, when she first met and fell in love with Jarrett (portrayed by Ryan Ross) de Bererton, who is the vampire that drained a rapist of blood right in front of her eyes, but then she was murdered by something, not someone, right after meeting him the second time. It is present times, she now goes to one of New York's most prestigious schools, but apart from her imperfect life living alone in an apartment around Times Square, there is one more thing that is wrong with her; she's neigther human nor vampire nor werewolf. She's a Valut, either a half-vampire or half-werewolf. Then she meets Jarret Angro, and even though she's 99% different from her past life, he knows who she is. But as always, along comes him, along comes trouble. Excerpt of Latest Update: “Cheers to success of our very own band… Retrospect!” Seth held his glass high. There were seated at the table back at the grand stadium—and restaurant—where they had just performed as another round of different bands played, praying to land on a record deal as they had just done. Lucien nodded, holding up his own as he admired the crimson red color effects the liquid content of his goblet created with the dim lights above them, “I think mine’s an O.” Blood itself was a breathtaking beauty, the way it flowed down his throat, taste so sweet and luscious. He leaned back, letting the red juice flow through his vein, empowering him once again. Jarrett nodded and grinned, “Mine’s AB.” The other man smirked, quite a sight on his almost never smiling lips, “I can imagine how Dracula did it.” He place the cup on the table and bent in to take a deep inhale of Angro’s food source, his fangs growing sharper by the every second that passed. “He place the beautiful women in his secret chambers with needles coming down on them, tearing their flesh away and making way for the blood, and…” he raised his goblet again, “with a toast to your good health,” and drained the remainders. |

Hi guys. The name's Lauren, 23 years old and hoping to someday be a writer, presumably just like the rest of you =3 I like cats, hot chocolate and enjoy reading and video games. Now that introductions are out of the way and done with, I was hoping to get some opinions. I have three ideas for a first novel and was hoping I could have the general public view which would make the better book. I originally worked on one for five years before deciding that I was sick of running out of ideas for it, so I scrapped it. Comments and suggestions are welcome, and I'll post a look at the third underneath in an LJ cut, so critique is welcome too. So I'm Google-image searching and reading up on tentacled animals on Wikipedia, as one does, and I came across this: The tentacles of the Giant Squid and Colossal Squid are particularly formidable, having powerful suckers and pointed teeth at the ends. The teeth of the Giant Squid resemble bottle caps, and function like small, circular saws; while the tentacles of the Colossal Squid wield two long rows of swiveling, tri-pointed hooks. My fic just got so much more interesting. Also, I am never going in the ocean again. |
